The parent company for the group is Gezina AS, which is a diversified company with shipping and venture as the main activities. Gezina AS is owned by Tharald Brovig and his daughters which held a family history within the shipping business back to the year 1889.

Gezina AS is a private equity investor with a long track record in creating superior returns through active ownership in public and private companies. The main focus is on investments in the fields of high technology, biotech and pharmaceuticals as well as the service sector where traditional monopolies can be challenged. The investment cycle is typically from late venture through IPO’s resulting in long-term, active ownerships in public quoted companies. Almost all investments aim at global markets even though the technology or service concept may originate from one country or region.

The Gezina Group is in process of building up activities and investment in Chemical and Product Carriers. The operation is handled by the subsidiary Brovigtank AS located in Farsund, Norway

The Brovigtank AS has 12 ships in their fleet and four of them are running with Myanmar crew- trading at European waters since 2011. Three ships with complete Myanmar crew and one ship with Icelandic Captain together with the Myanmar crew. The team at Myanmar Aurora has manned the Brovigtank vessels since 2011.

The company offers total ship management or split in services ranging from HSEQ, Technical, Crew, Purchase, Insurance, Accounting and Commercial. Fjord Shipping now manages 20 vessels. At the moment, Fjord offers wide ranges of job opportunities for Myanmar citizen with the positions from Captain to cook. RK8 has manned their ships with qualified crews from Myanmar Aurora Manning agency since 2013.
